Mifuneyama Rakuen Night Cherry Blossoms Light Up
This is a video of the largest night cherry blossom illumination in Kyushu at the Flower Festival held at Mifuneyama Rakuen, a famous flower spot in Takeo City, Saga Prefecture Japan. Mifuneyama Rakuen is a large garden associated with the former Takeo feudal lord Nabeshima, who has been in Takeo Onsen in Kyushu since the late Edo period, and is located at the southwestern foot of Mifuneyama, which is also a symbol of Takeo City.
The entire garden is about 500,000 square meters, and in the spring when the flower festival is held, about 2,000 cherry trees such as Someiyoshino and yamazakura are in full bloom. At night, the Kyushu’s largest cherry blossom light-up will be held, in which the cherry blossoms in the garden are fantastically illuminated.
The flower festival continues until the season when the azaleas bloom after the cherry blossoms, but especially during this time, the beauty of the Japanese garden and the spectacular scenery attract the hearts of visitors.
