Fantastic Azalea Flowers in Takeo Onsen Mifuneyama Rakuen
Mifuneyama Rakuen is a large garden in Takeo Onsen, Takeo City, Saga Prefecture Kyushu Japan.
The garden is famous for its 200,000 beautiful azalea blooming flowers.
Mifuneyama Rakuen is a 500,000-square-meter Japanese garden built by the 28th lord of the Saga clan, Takeo Shigeyoshi Nabeshima, in the late Edo period.
On the north side is Mifuneyama, 210 meters above sea level, which is also a symbol of Takeo Onsen.
It is a famous tourist spot where you can enjoy various scenery such as autumn leaves and cherry blossoms throughout the four seasons.
Azaleas that can be seen in the spring are especially popular and attract many tourists from inside and outside the prefecture.
You can enjoy a spectacular view of 200,000 colorful flowers blooming as if carpeted, centered on a mortar-shaped azalea valley at the southwestern foot of Mifuneyama.
