On August 16, 2022, we watched and recorded the Kawasaki Summer Festival Fireworks Show held in Ichinoseki City, Iwate Prefecture Japan.
Before Kawasaki Village merged with Ichinoseki City, this fireworks festival was popularly known as “a big fireworks display in a small village”, but after the merger, it changed to its current name.
At the Kawasaki Summer Festival Fireworks Display, approximately 10,000 fireworks, including the only 24 inch shell fireworks in Iwate Prefecture, will be launched at the Kitakami River, which flows through Ichinoseki City.
In 2022, as a countermeasure against coronavirus infectious diseases, the conventional paid seats will not be set up, and the organizer will collect an admission cooperation fee of 500 yen for all areas.
In addition, some programs were canceled due to the increase in river water.
The launch of the fireworks is jointly handled by Haga Pyrotechnic Co., Ltd. in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture and Komatsu Fireworks Co., Ltd. in Daisen City, Akita Prefecture, which is known for Omagari fireworks.
