EVA Air McDonnell Douglas MD-90-30 B-17926 Landing to Sendai Airport in Japan.The MD-90 is a compact twin-jet aircraft based on MD-80 which is an evolved type of Douglas DC-9, and features two turbofan engines on the rear of the aircraft.Since McDonnell-Douglas was acquired by Boeing in 1997, the derivative type MD-95 is now produced as Boeing 717-200.At the same time, MD-90-30 notation behind the aircraft was changed to Boeing MD-90.
