Autumn scenery of the Michinoku Lakeside Park on the shores of Kamafusa Dam in Kawasaki-cho, Shibata-gun, Miyagi Prefecture, Kochia where the autumn leaves begin, and cosmos flowers in full bloom.
Michinoku Lakeside Park is the only national park in the Tohoku region with a ball game plaza and playset on a vast site of about 287.5ha.
Here, you can enjoy the scenery of the four seasons while getting close to nature.
From late September to mid-October, the flower fields in the park will be in full bloom with about 1.5 million red, pink, and white cosmos flowers and about 500,000 kibana cosmos flowers, for a total of 2 million cosmos flowers.
Along with the beautiful scenery of Kochia turning red, you can also see beautiful autumn flowers such as salvia, amaranth, and zinnia in the large flowerbed of Sai with fountains and waterfalls.
